Schools we have visited

  1. Low-cost enrichment lessons that support your individual learning objectives. An excellent way to launch or wrap-up lessons in:

    Basic life forms, animal diversity (K-4)
    Ecosystems, animal communities, the energy cycle (Any)
    Reproduction & Long-term Adaptation (Any)

    Reptile, mammal, amphibian, arthropod segments (K-4)

Students are encouraged to continue learning in this less structured and semi-formal environment! Wildlife Encounters has extensive experience with these programs, and has been proven to maximize student attendance & involvement by providing an attractive after school activity and stimulates a child’s natural curiosity. Available as single-session, mini series and year-long contracts.

  School Classroom/Small Group
$250 or less per class. + Travel
Available Now!

For a more individualized and interactive learning experience, consider a general or topic specific presentation for your students. Enabling more hands-on interaction and extensive Q&A opportunity, students will have tremendous fun learning, and teachers will have students excited to participate in follow-up projects, individual and group study activities! Meet the needs of a diversity of learners, and maximize retention! Duration: 45-60 minutes, or customized. Animals: 7 Space Requirement: Moderate May include some hands-off animals. Ambient temp minimum of 68 degrees please. Shade may be required. Program may feature animals, props, pictures and technology integration. Students are encouraged to email the Wildlife Center after the class with follow-up questions. Back-to-back presentations are common, multi-show discounts available, half & full-day rates available (see sidebar to the right).

  School Assemblies
$275 - $350 + Travel
Available Now!

Expose an entire grade, or the whole SCHOOL to Northern New England's premier live animal assembly presentations. Many of the species available for assemblies can only be found in the area with the Wildlife Encounters Zoo!

Presentations are customized by working with the needs of the school and the objectives of the staff / administration. In an age and grade-level appropriate manner, the presentation may cover the wildlife’s native habitat, ecological role, population status, survival techniques, foraging or predatory techniques, human impact, economic significance, reproduction and more.

From large alligators and pythons to wallabies and birds of prey (coming soon)… students will have tremendous fun learning, and teachers will have students excited to participate in follow-up art projects, individual and group study projects, and other learning activities using methodologies that will meet the needs of a diversity of learners!

Attendance: 100 students + (no limit) Duration: 60 - 90 minutes. Animals: 8 Space Requirement: Moderate Limited physical contact may be allowed with certtain species at our Educator's discretion. Ambient temp minimum of 68 degrees please.
